FR La Maison-Musée du Haut-Verdon est avant tout un lieu de regroupement culturel, celui de la Haute vallée du Verdon. Depuis 2003, l'"Association Maison-Musée et Forts Vauban du Haut-Verdon" mène un travail de collecte et de recherche dans le but de présenter aux visiteurs l'ensemble de ce patrimoine culturel, matériel autant qu'immatériel ; ce sont des objets, des vêtements ou encore des outils mais aussi des pratiques et des savoirs-faire qui sont présentés, autant de témoignages du passé qui nous renseignent sur les modes de vies d'une vallée de moyenne montagne.

Les collections sont réparties dans trois espaces :
  • La maison bourgeoise (présentée pour ce waymark)
Construite à la fin du 17ème siècle, elle abrite deux étages d'expositions. Au Premier étage: L'art religieux de la Renaissance à l'Epoque contemporaine, Les débuts du tourisme dans le Haut-Verdon et l'école d'antan (de Jules Ferry). Au Second, vous pourrez vous immerger dans l'étonnante reconstitution d'un intérieur bourgeois du début du 20ème siècle.
  • Le chemin de ronde de Colmars
La maison ouvre, de part et d'autre du salon bourgeois, sur le chemin de ronde et ses 10 tours d'expositions: une partie militaire (aile est: Espace Vauban, soldats du passé, Chasseurs alpins et Grande Guerre), et une partie ethnologique (aile ouest: Travail du bois et du fer, Travaux des champs, Fête patronale de Colmars, Bugade et Distillation de la lavande...).
  • Le jardin de l'apothicaire Jean Saurin
Ce petit écrin de verdure au cœur des remparts a été dédié à un apothicaire de Colmars, né vers 1647. A la belle saison, vous pourrez observer les plantes utilisées par Maître Saurin et apprendre leurs destinations thérapeutiques à l'époque de Louis XIV !

?Limité à quelques pièces d'exposition à son ouverture il y a 15 ans, le musée s'étend aujourd'hui sur plus de 1000m², répartis entre la maison et les 400 mètres du chemin de ronde...
EN The Maison-Musée du Haut-Verdon is above all a cultural gathering place, that of the Haute vallée du Verdon. Since 2003, the "Association Maison-Musée et Forts Vauban du Haut-Verdon" has been collecting and researching all of this cultural heritage, tangible as well as intangible, in order to present visitors with objects, clothing, tools, practices and know-how, all of which tell us about the lifestyles of a medium mountain valley.

The collections are divided into three spaces:
  • La maison bourgeoise (presented for this waymark)
Built at the end of the 17th century, it houses two floors of exhibitions. First floor: Religious art from the Renaissance to the Contemporary Era, The beginnings of tourism in the Haut-Verdon and the school of yesteryear (by Jules Ferry). On the second floor, you can immerse yourself in the astonishing reconstruction of a bourgeois interior from the beginning of the 20th century.
  • Le chemin de ronde de Colmars
The house opens, on either side of the bourgeois living room, on the round path and its 10 exhibition towers: a military part (east wing: Espace Vauban, soldiers of the past, Alpine hunters and Great War), and an ethnological part (west wing: Wood and iron work, Field work, Fête patronale de Colmars, Bugade and Lavender distillation...).
  • The garden of the apothecary Jean Saurin
This small green setting in the heart of the ramparts was dedicated to an apothecary of Colmars, born around 1647. In the summer season, you can observe the plants used by Master Saurin and learn their therapeutic destinations at the time of Louis XIV!

Limited to a few exhibition rooms when it opened 15 years ago, the museum now extends over more than 1000m², spread between the house and the 400 metres of the round path...
