World War I Memorial is dedicated to a citizens and soldiers from Jenisovice fallen during WI.
Beside this memorial is special plaque dedicated to Czech pilot Josef Koukal.
Josef Koukal was born 6 May 1912 in the Jenišovice village. After the German occupation of Czechoslovakia he left for England and fought in the British Royal Air Force. On September 7, 1940, his machine was shot down. The explosion of the aircraft survived with severe burns. After two years and 22 plastic operations, he returned to battle.
