The VOR station is located just west of Interstate 5 on the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, about 2 miles north of Oceanside proper. It is used for aircraft landing at the nearby airfield on the base. The structure is still active and on clear days one can see military aircraft using it as they take off or land at the base.
