The Sheffield Conservation area is located just off Highway 41 south of Kaladar, Created in 1975, the 1150 acrea area contains a wide diversity of landscape from, karst to open fields to deciduous and pine forest. Little Mellon Lake is also included. The Sheffield Dark Sky Viewing Area is locate adjacent to the area, just to its south.
The Conservaton Area is administered by the Moira River Conservation Authority.
