Das Schloss Blumenthal liegt am Fluss Ecknach zwischen dem Aichacher Ortsteil Klingen und der Gemeinde Sielenbach bzw. dem bayerischen Wallfahrtsort Maria Birnbaum (Landkreis Aichach-Friedberg).

Das ursprünglich vierflügelige Wasserschloss im Stil der Renaissance mit einem umfangreichen vorgelagerten Wirtschaftshof wurde erstmals 1296 urkundlich erwähnt.

Durchgreifende Umbauten fanden in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. und der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts statt. Ab 1806 befand sich die Anlage knapp 200 Jahre lang im Besitz der Fuggerschen Stiftungs-Verwaltung.

2007 wurde Schloss Blumenthal von privaten Investoren übernommen. In der weitläufigen Schlossanlage sind das alte Brauereigebäude, der Biergarten und die barocke Schlosskapelle St. Maria sehenswert.

Östlich von Blumenthal steht die 1608 errichtete St.-Georgs-Kapelle, von der nach der Säkularisation nur der Turm erhalten blieb.

The originally four-winged water castle in the style of the Renaissance with an extensive upstream farmyard was first mentioned in 1296 in a document.

Thorough conversions took place in the second half of the 16th and the first half of the 18th century. From 1806, the plant was owned by the Fugger Foundation Administration for almost 200 years.

In 2007, Schloss Blumenthal was taken over by private investors. In the extensive castle complex, the old brewery building, the beer garden and the baroque castle chapel of St. Maria are worth seeing.

To the east of Blumenthal stands the St. George chapel, built in 1608, from which only the tower remained after secularization.
