[EN] "Varied, idyllic, fascinating, even unique - that is Brixen in the Eisacktal. It is the oldest city in Tyrol, of great cultural and historical importance, and offers a wide range of holiday activities for young and old, both in summer and winter.
Old venerable residences and picturesque churches, such as the Bressanone Cathedral and the parish church of St. Michael, bear witness to Bressanone's great past. The Bressanone Cathedral is the most important church in the country and of enormous cultural and historical importance. In addition to the cathedral, the Diözesanmuseum in the Hofburg and the Pharmacy Museum offer exciting insights.
But not only the episcopal city of Bressanone/Brixen itself is worth seeing, also the factions have their very own charms. Elvas, for example, is wonderfully embedded in vineyards and orchards. The view of the Brixen basin is wonderful from here. Albeins and St. Andrä, on the other hand, are located on the sunny slopes of the Plose, the main attraction for active holidaymakers. The small holiday village Afers is about 15 km from Brixen and is surrounded by high pastures and the majestic Dolomites.
Milland, on the other hand, is the largest of the Brixen factions, adjoining the city centre and is also an important place of pilgrimage".
