The simple painted sundial can be found on the south facade of tower of the Church of St. Nicolas in village Hermanov (Vysocina/Highland region). The sundial can measure time from the morning (8 a.m.) until the evening (8 p.m.). The sundial consists of simple gnomon rod, Latin numerals for hours painted around a picture of the sun.Inside painted ribbons there is the Bible quotation (I Thess. 5:5) "Nepatríme ani noci ani tme (We are neither of the night nor of darkness.”)".
