Little Free Library #35040 sits close to the road, with a bench and small table nearby for browsing the books. The structure is light beige colored, with a glass front window. A flower shaped sign at the top lets you know that new books have been placed. Attached to the base of the pole supporting the library is a covered container for "Oversized Picture Books", and a laminated sign above that gives information on the Little Free Library project. A bird is at the top, landing on the library.
Inside the library is a spiral notebook for visitors to sign and write a sentiment. What a great thing to put inside the LFL!
I love the write-up of LFL #35040 on the LFL website:
Reading is as essential to me as breathing, and when I saw a Little Free Library near the school where I teach, it seemed like a breath of fresh air to me. I dreamed of sharing my love of reading with my neighbors. As an anniversary present to me, my father built me this nerdtastic library which has a handmade metal bird landing on top and a bench on which to relax and peruse books in the library. The library is filled with an eclectic mix of many kinds of books that I hope bring joy to all.
