[FR] Le théâtre-amphithéâtre de Néris conjuguait les fonctions de théâtre (pour les représentations de comédies et de tragédie) avec les fonctions d'amphithéâtre (pour les jeux dits "du cirque" : combats de gladiateurs, combats entre hommes et bêtes fauves...).
Le plan est elliptique ; des gradins sur la moitié du bâtiment permettaient à environ 3 000 spectateurs de suivre les spectacles donnés dans l'arène.
[EN] The theater-amphitheater of Néris combined the functions of a theater (for staging comedies and tragedies) with the function of an amphitheater used for gladiator combats.
The architecture is elliptical and had the capacity to hold 3000 specators.
