Nejstarší zmínky o kostelu se datují r. 1352. Puvodne gotický kostel byl roku 1682 prestaven abatyší Annou Mechthildou Schenweisovou z Ecksteinu. Roku 1774 byla zvýšena kostelní vež. Svou aktuální podobu kostel získal roku 1895, kdy byl opraven, byly zde instalovány nové varhany a také pristavena nová sakristie.
Kostel i s prilehlým hrbitovem je ve vlastnictví Rímskokatolické farnosti Roztoky u Prahy.

The oldest mention of the church dates back to 1352. The original gothic church was rebuilt in 1682 by the abbess Anne Mechthilda Schenweis of Eckstein. In 1774 the church tower was raised. The actual appearance of the church dates back to 1895, when it was repaired, new organs were installed and a new sacristy was established.
The church and the adjacent cemetery are owned by the Roman Catholic parish of Roztoky near Prague.
