[DE] "Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus
Urkundlich ist außer Bauzeit der Kirche, die zu Ende des 11. Jh. erbaut sein soll, nichts bekannt. Es handelt sich ursprünglich um eine dreischiffige , flachgedeckte, romanische Pfeilerbasilika ohne Querschiff mit vorgebauten Westturm. Am 2. Januar 1945 durch Bomben bis auf den Turm zerstört – blieb zum Glück die wunderschöne romanische Krypta noch erhalten. Bereits 1946 wurde mit dem Wiederaufbau begonnen. Im Jahre 1949 war die feierliche Einsegnung.
Im Innenraum der Kirche befindet sich eine Hinweistafel mit weiteren Einzelheiten zur Geschichte und Ausstattung der Kirche.
Hinzuweisen ist auf ein sich im Eingangsbereich befindliches auf Kupferplatte gemaltes Totenschild des Grafen Philip Ernst von Daun und Gattin aus dem Jahre1685; Ph. Ernst war der Urgroßvater des Grafen Leopold von Daun."

Nothing is documented except for the construction of the church, which is said to have been built at the end of the 11th century. It is originally a three-nave, flat-roofed Romanesque pillar basilica without a transept with a west tower in front. Destroyed by bombs down to the tower on 2 January 1945, the beautiful Romanesque crypt was fortunately preserved. Reconstruction began as early as 1946. In 1949 was the solemn blessing.
Inside the church there is an information board with further details about the history and furnishings of the church.
It is worth mentioning that Count Philip Ernst von Daun's and his wife's death shield, painted on copper plate in the entrance area; Ph. Ernst was Count Leopold von Daun's great-grandfather."
