The Chouteau Public Library is a Donation/Volunteer library, not affiliated with a Library System. At the time of posting, they are located at 111 N. McCracken Street in a building they share with the senior citizens. However, a larger library building is under construction on Main Street, west of Highway 69.
This library has 5,000 volumes and it is possible to reserve or renew books online. We didn't see any indication that they have Internet services in the library, but perhaps that will be added in their new location.
The library is currently only open Mon. to Thurs. from 8:00-5:00. There is a free standing receptacle outside the entrance for returning books after hours.
