Obterre est située dans la région naturelle de la Brenne, au sein du parc naturel régional de la Brenne.
La mairie d'Obterre gère le Cimetière d'Obterre qui est l'unique cimetière disponible sur le territoire communal.
La chapelle du cimetiere de la commune est située à la sortie du village route de Touraine.
C'est une belle chapelle en pierre de calcaire blanc.
Le cimetière de ce petit village comprend principalement d' anciennes tombes. Il n'y a pas de chapelle familiale, les tombes sont simples.
Au centre est placé le monument aux morts des conflits 1914-18 1939-45. Ce monument se trouve dans l’axe de l’entrée principale du cimetière, C'est une stèle reposant sur un socle faisant penser à un autel.
Cet espace de repos eternel est bien entretenu.

This is a beautiful white limestone stone chapel.
The cemetery of this small village consists mainly of ancient tombs. There is no family chapel, the tombs are simple.
In the center is placed the war memorial 1914-18 1939-45. This monument is located in the axis of the main entrance of the cemetery, It is a stele resting on a base reminiscent of an altar.
This eternal rest area is well maintained.
