On the side of the car park, at the restored Trial Bay Gaol is this History Sign, that welcomes you to Dhanggati Country.

This sign has the translations of some of the local Aborigines, welcoming 'you' to their Country. It reads, with the translations:

Rob Roy was one of a group of Aboriginals from the Smoky Cape District. This group worked in the Jerseyville district and lived on Pelican Island.
