This monument is in a small cemetery, Presbyterian Church Burying Ground, behind the old Presbyterian Church in Owego. This is the only zinc monument there. It has held up better than many of the stone monuments there, which are not readable.

says John Dodd was a carriage maker born 1782, moved to Owego from New Haven, Connecticut. He married Susan Potter. William Dodd was their son. George was also a son.

Elias Seymour was son of Judge William Seymour, brother to Governor Horatio Seymour. Elias practiced medicine. The symbol on his side may be a masonic symbol, the compass.

The other decoration is for the most part standard: drapery, shaft of wheat, rose garland, clasping hands.
