This modest sized obelisk is for brothers Eugene and Mark Cox, and their families, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. I estimate the height to be 14 feet.
Mark and his brother Eugene, married twin sisters, Barbara and Jean Kendrick, in a double ceremony, in 1939. The two families lived next door to each other, all their married lives, as the twin sisters were very close. The two Cox brothers ran a mail order business together, as Cox Brothers.
Mark Bondurant Cox was born August 26, 1918, and died December 31, 2009, at the age of 91. He was married to Jean J. Kendrick. (
