The mural 'Waxwings in Stoke' depicts two large waxwings eating red and white berries. It is located on the wall adjoining AROMA oriental buffet and restaurant bar (opposite the beautiful Bethesda Chapel) on Albion Street and is part of the New Horizons street art initiative by Stoke-on-Trent based company, Entrepreneurs.
New Horizons breathes a new lease of life into the city's streets by inviting artists from across the world to produce murals on blank walls and spaces. (

The mural was created by graffiti artist Faunagraphic, commissioned by Entrepreneurs for Appetite’s Big Feast 2015.

"New Horizons is a mural project based in Stoke-On-Trent,
They recently contacted me to commissioned me to paint my artwork in their city centre, I decided I wanted to go with the Waxwings, as I really love painting the birds, mainly as they are visitors rather than birds which live in the UK all year round. The festival in the city at the time of me doing the mural was a cultural festival, so I found the Waxwings appropriate symbolically for this."
Entrepreneurs is an artist led shop with a public exhibition space upstairs. The Entrepreneurs Network is a company based around a series of projects set up by Rob Fenton, Andy Cooke and Tom Edwards. The projects are sometimes self-initiated, businesses or commissions from clients around Staffordshire and the UK. Their activities centre around street culture, and everything that goes with it—fashion, music, art, sport and the community. (
