[DE] "Einer der größten mittelalterlichsten Wehrtürme in Deutschland
Der Runde Turm wurde erbaut von 1440–1453 und hat eine Höhe von 56 Metern. Er gilt als Wahrzeichen der Stadt und stellt ein steinernes Zeugnis des städtischen Selbstbewusstseins dar, hielt er doch im Jahre 1689 einem Sprengversuch der Franzosen stand. Hiervon zeugt noch heute ein Loch an der Westseite des Turms.
Öffnungszeiten Runder Turm
Geöffnet von Ostern bis Ende Oktober.
Samstag, Sonntag und Feiertag von 13:00 bis 18:00 Uhr.
Einritt: Erwachsene 1,00 €, Kinder bis 14 Jahre sind kostenfrei."

[EN] "The round tower was built between 1440 and 1453. It is 56 meters tall. The round tower is one of the symbols of the city and a testimonial of self confidence of the people of Andernach. It withstood a French attempt to blow it up in 1689. A hole in the west side of the tower reminds us of this historic incident."
