Eglise Saint-Étienne de Vière au hameau de Mariaud à Prads Haute Bléone est aujourd'hui "stabilisée". L’empierrement du parvis dessine une croix de Jérusalem inscrite dans un triangle de Reuleaux.
Un artiste américain, Richard Nonas, spécialiste du Land Art, a en effet décidé du de la « stabilisation » de l'église romane, dont le toit effondré a été couvert afin qu'elle puisse servir d'abri de fortune aux randonneurs. Stabilisation plutôt que restauration, pour prendre acte de la « ruine imparfaite » du village, imparfaite dans la survivance des vestiges, mais surtout dans la persistance du désir des hommes d'investir ce territoire.
C'est l'une des deux œuvres de cet artiste dans le hameau (pour l'autre, je n'arrive pas à trouver une catégorie).
On ne sait pas à quelle époque a été construite l'église mais on retrouve dans les archives du département
* une visite du village de François Le Tellier, évêque de Digne, le 20 mai 1683, il relate que l’église dépend du prieuré de Beaujeu
* un recensement de 1315 avec 250 habitants

Church Saint-Etienne de Vière in the hamlet of Mariaud Prads Haute Bléone is today "stabilized". The pavement of the court draws a Jerusalem cross inscribed in a triangle of Reuleaux.
An American artist, Richard Nonas, specialist of Land Art, has indeed decided the "stabilization" of the Romanesque church, whose roof collapsed was covered so that it can serve as a makeshift shelter to hikers.
