Built in 1822, this lighthouse provided navigational aid to sailors on Lake Ontario seeking safe harbor in the Genessee River. The lighthouse had fallen into disrepair and there was even talk of demolishing it. But, the historical society restored it about 20 years ago and it is now open for tours.
