[CZ] Mohutný hrad Rokštejn (dríve zrejme Ruteštejn nebo Rukštejn dle zakladatele Rutha/Hruta z rodu Hrutovicu) se tycí v údolícku nad ríckou Brtnicí. Jsou zde videt zbytky dvou velkých palácu a 17m vysoké hranolové veže a po vykopávkách i mnoho dalších zajímavých zákoutí.
Historie v kostce
- 1289 - hrad poprvé zminován
- Kolem roku 1359 pripojuje hrad ke svému zboží moravský markrabe Jan Jindrich
- Kolem roku 1362 byl do té doby nevelký hrad prestaven a rozšíren - defakto vznikl opravdu na tu dobu luxusní dvojhrad
- Puvodní majitelé se ale rozsáhlou prestavbou velmi zadlužili a na hrade se chvíli strídají ruzní majitelé
- Mezi lety 1396 - 1399 se dostává hrad do držení Valdštejnu
- Po roce 1400 - Valdštejni dále hrad vylepšují
- Za husitských válek majitelé prešli na stranu husitu a škodili predevším Jihlave. To vyvrcholilo roku 1402 prepadením Jihlavy. Vudci byli ale zajati ale vykoupili se.
- Po r. 1423 jihlavští Rokštejn oblehli a primeli posádku k odchodu.
- V dobe válek s uherským Matyášem Korvínem jeho vojska hrad poborila a zapálila což byl definitivní konec hradu.
- Pak už byl jen nouzove zajišten v polovine 15 století
- Puvodne záchranný výzkum hradu Rokštejna byl zahájen roku 1981. Dnes patrí k nejvetším výzkumum tohoto druhu stredovekých památek nejen u nás, ale i v rámci stredoevropském

[EN] The mighty castle Rokštejn (formerly Ruteštejn or Rukštejn according to the founder Rutha / Hruta from the family of Hrutovice) stand in the valley above the river Brtnice. There are remnants of two large palaces and a 17m high prismatic tower, and many other interesting nooks.
History in a nutshell
- 1289 - the castle was mentioned for the first time
- Around the year 1359 Moravian Margrave Jan Jindrich connects castle to your property.
- Around 1362, the small castle was rebuilt into a luxury large double castle
- However, the original owners were very indebted to the extensive reconstruction, and a lot of another owners changed in castle
- In years 1396 - 1399, the castle was gain the Waldstein family
- After 1400, Wallenstein continues to improve the castle
- During the Hussite wars the owners went to the Hussite side and fight mainly against town Jihlava. This culminated in the 1402 attack to town Jihlava. But the attackers were captured but they were redeemed.
- After 1423, Jihlava's fighters Rokštejn besieged and forced the crew to leave.
- During the wars with King Matyas Corvinus, his troops destroyed and lit the castle, and it was the end of the castle.
- At the middle of the 15th century, the castle was only emergency secured
