The town of Marlow is entrenched in history revolving around the five Marlow Brothers, sons of the town founder, Dr. Williamson Marlow. In 2004, a local cave was discovered which is thought to be the hiding spot for the Marlow brothers. East of downtown, Redbud Park commemorates these events, as well as stories about the Chisholm Trail.
In Redbud Park is this fabulous 13,000 square foot playground called "The Hideout". Constructed of rough wood timbers, the enclosed area is constructed to look like a frontier town, with a hotel, general store, jail and bank. Walk through the entrance and you will find a wonderland of things to climb on, and in; things to hang from and swing by. We have to admit, we couldn't resist climbing up into one of the towers for a birds-eye view. Oh, to be a child again!
