La fontaine du Coustou, au centre de la ville, est alimentée par une source chaudes sortant de terre à environ 75 °C
Les longs filaments blancs qui se forment aux arrivées d'eau chaude ne sont pas des pollutions.Ce sont des microorganismes extrenements anciens ( archeobactéries) , plus anciens que les dinosaures,qui ont survécus jusqu'a nos jours.
