The northern Thai town of Mae Sai borders Myanmar, and in recent years has become a busy border crossing point for locals and tourists.
On the main road, approximately half a kilometre back from the border crossing is a town clock. The clock is on the high exterior of a watch store (some suggest that many of the watches are copies). The clock uses Roman numerals and has black hands on a white background. It also tells the time correctly. Estimate ~2 metres in size.
On both sides of the border are busy markets, where bargains or not, may be had.
