The wooden pier is about 250 metres long, and maintained by the Big 4 Karuah Jetty Holiday Park. ('They' mustn't have read the difference between a Pier, and a Jetty.)

The river is mostly rather shallow, so it is no wonder that the Pier has to go out so far for the berthing of moderate sized boats. While there is tidal differences, they aren't too drastic. Lots of mangroves surround this pier.

The Holiday Park has a couple of automated Bait dispensers, available 24/7, while the Holiday Park Office can sell other requirements.
