Fladbro Kro er et gammelt og historisk sted. Arkivoptegnelser fortæller, at der allerede i det 15. århundrede blev købt jern til Fladbro-"broen" ved det naturlige vadested over Nørreåen, øst for Fladbro Kro, tæt ved Randers. Den nuværende hovedbygning blev opført i 1859 og blev samme år besøgt af selveste H.C. Andersen. I sin dagbog beretter han, at han på kroen blev beværtet med noget så moderne, som smørrebrød og portvin.

In the series "The taste of Eastern Jutland" the singer Marie Frank visits the restaurant at the 14'th of October 2013.
Fladbro Kro is a carefully renovated inn from 1737 and since the beginning of its existence it has been known to serve great quality food and provide good service. The world famous danish author, H. C. Andersen, visited the inn in 1857 and was delighted.
