Kurbelwellen aus Großmotoren, Stahl, Industrieeisenträger

Die Eisen- und Stahlindustrie, dafür steht der eine Kurbelwelle ziehende Stahlwerker hier wie der Stahlgießer dort, spielte in der Region eine überragende Rolle. Davon ist nicht viel geblieben. Darauf macht die große, fünf Meter hohe und viele Tonnen schwere Plastik aufmerksam. Riesige Kurbelwellen und Kurbelwellenrohlinge
liegen als Schrott auf einem windschiefen Gestell aus Doppel-T-Trägern.

In Zusammenhang mit der Aufstellung der "Kurbelwellen" kam es trotz einer Diskussion vor Ort mit dem Künstler und dem Veranstalter zu aggressiven Agitationen gegen das Kunstwerk und schließlich zu
Vandalismus mit Farbschüttungen, die noch heute zu sehen sind.

Crankshafts from large engines, steel, industrial iron carriers

The iron and steel industry played an outstanding role in the region. Not much of that has remained. This is what the large, five-meter-high and many-ton plastic points out. Huge crankshafts and crankshaft blanks lie on a frame of double-T-carriers.

In connection with the installation of the "crankshafts", despite a discussion on site with the artist and the organizer, aggressive agitations against the work of art and finally vandalism with paint occured, that can still be seen today.
