"Pub near the Theatre Royal, raised from street level on Parliament Street entrance. A side bar runs to the rear entrance on Wollaton Street while ample seating is provided away from the bar. Refurbished in September 2017. The premises were once owned by Nottingham Forest legend Larry Lloyd.
The Stage is part of Westminster Buildings a Grade II listed block (No. 1255198) built in 1909. Named for the stage of the nearby Theatre Royal, the pub was originally called the Hand Inn, followed by the Rat & Parrot and then the Stage Door. The Stage is in Nottingham City Council's Old Market Square Conservation Area."

Centrally located pub very close to the theatre. There are two entrances from either side of the two streets it runs down, with one large open plan room on two levels as the streets are not on the same height, with signs these used to be separate years ago but have now been knocked through.
