At the intersection of 9th Street and Texas Avenue is an area known as Woodward Centennial Park. On the brick wall are many granite plaques enumerating historical events, and commemorating those who died during War, and those who lost their lives in the Tornado of 1947.

A Time Capsule commemorating Woodward's 100th anniversary was set in place in 1987. A concrete block is engraved:
