WPA medallions were found along the Cliff Walk near the Forty Steps view and along the sidewalk between the Cliff Walk and Easton Beach.

In Newport, along and off Memorial Boulevard, are medallions embedded in cement indicating WPA work that occurred here.
The area of interest is along Memorial Boulevard. One medallion was found along a sidewalk between the Easton Beach parking lot and the entrance to Cliff Walk. The other medallion was found near Forty Steps, a place along Cliff Walk.
The medallion along Memorial Blvd was found in the sidewalk, somewhere around 300 ft from the entrance to the Cliffwalk. It is in good shape.
The medallion at Forty Steps is located in the wall about a foot above the ground and some feet to the right of a map. This also in good condition.
The Living New Deal web site has an entry for this area. It isn't very detailed - just that sidewalk work was done here.
