 Dieffenbach au val probably has the most interesting church in Val de Villé.
It is, moreover, partly included in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments.
Its present form dates mostly from 1785, but at the base of the choir tower, two stone seats seem to be the remains of the old chapel Saint Laurent of 1369.
Hidden under the roof of the nave, traces of structural connection to the tower can imagine the different stages of the evolution of the church.

 Dieffenbach au val possède probablement l'église la plus intéressante du Val de Villé.
Elle est d'ailleurs, pour partie, inscrite à l'Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques.
Sa forme actuelle date pour l'essentiel de 1785, mais à la base de la tour-choeur, deux assises de pierre semblent constituer les vestiges de l'ancienne chapelle Saint Laurent de 1369.
Cachées sous le toit de la nef, des traces de raccordement de charpente à la tour permettent d'imaginer les différentes étapes de l'évolution de l'église.
