[EN] The church, with a Latin cross plan, has a beautiful wooden frame and a beautiful high altar. [FR] L'église, de plan en croix latine, possède une superbe charpente en bois et un beau maître-autel.

The church of Lorrain, built in 1687 is destroyed by several cyclones, rebuilt in 1840, and again destroyed by the cyclone of 1891, it is significant of a new architectural style, characteristic of the XIX century, rectangular type.

The plan of the building is in Latin cross. The bell tower, composed of four bells, rebuilt in 1881 breaks with this homogeneity by marking by its reduced size and the use of wood in order to adapt to local conditions.

Closed for work for ten years, it was rebuilt and returned to the faithful in December 2012. Listed in the inventory of historical monuments it is currently a place of worship that arouses the interest of visitors.

L’église du Lorrain, édifiée en 1687 est détruite par plusieurs cyclones, rebâtie en 1840, et à nouveau détruite par le cyclone de 1891, elle est significative d’un genre architectural nouveau, caractéristique du XIX siècle, de type rectangulaire.

Le plan du bâtiment est en croix latine. Le clocher, composé de quatre cloches, reconstruit en 1881 rompt avec cette homogénéité en marquant par sa taille réduite et l’utilisation du bois dans un souci d’adaptation aux conditions locales.

Fermée pour travaux durant dix ans, elle a été reconstruite et restituée aux fidèles en décembre 2012. Classée à l’inventaire des monuments historique elle est actuellement un lieu de culte qui suscite l’intérêt des visiteurs.
