This lake was created when SD Highway 27 was completed.

It is fairly small with an acreage of 77 square acres.

The boat ramp is on the west side of the lake and is accessible from SD Highway 27. There is a large wooded area on the northwest side of the lake and rustic camping is available.

The lake is 14 feet deep at the most and has a shoreline of 2.2 miles.
