This benchmark is located about 5.7 miles west of Medicine Lake Guard Station along Road 43N48. The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey set the disk in the top of a concrete post about 20 feet northeast of the centerline of Road 43N48. The cap is stamped J502 and was set in 1954.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 5.7 MI W FROM MEDICINE LAKE. 5.7 MILES WEST ALONG A GRADED ROAD FROM MEDICINE LAKE GUARD STATION, 0.1 MILE EAST OF THE JUNCTION OF DAVIS ROAD, AT THE SUMMIT OF A GRADE, 35 1/2 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF AN OLD TRACK ROAD, 21 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 2.3 FEET SOUTH OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT 1 FOOT HIGHER THAN THE ROAD, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.5 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.
