On the west wall of the Ouachita Little Theater at 601 Mena Street, this mural is painted on a white brick wall. It was painted in 1996 by artist, Chris Ownby.
The mural shows a settler family with their open wagon puled by two horses. A man is in the wagon, with a young daughter. Another daughter is riding a small pony alongside the wagon. The mother and two sons are standing in front of the horses. The painting is done in Black, White and Gray which gives the impression of an old photograph.
Across the mural is painted "Welcome to Mena - From the Ouachita Little Theater", and "Mena established 1896". The artist's name and date are in the lower right corner.
