The main structure of the Medieval church of St Afran, St Ieuan and St Sannan which lies not far from the village of Llantrisant dates from the 14th century.
The church is now disused and isolated and only accessible by foot over farmland and it is no longer used as a place of worship. It is however looked after and maintained by the Friends of Friendless Churches charity (

The mounting block is located just to the side of the main gate into the cemetery.
