The grave site is very elaborate. On the top section of the tombstone is cherub with his left elbow resting on a skull. To the right of the skull is an hourglass.

Below the cherub and hourglass is a tablet with an inscription in Latin. The English translation of this inscription follows:

"George Foulis of Ravilston, Son of George, erected (this) to the memory of his parents. A firm bond unites the blessed in Christ, whom gloomy death hath torn asunder."
