"Saved from becoming a house in 2011 with a concerted effort by a local campaign, the Whitmore Arms became the Muddy Duck after being purchased by a local businessman. Retaining the previous landlord as their cellar expert, good quality real ale flows from four handpumps and one gravity-fed cask. The pub has a reputation for good quality food with seasonal menus and there is an extensive wine list. There is a large garden area at the rear. The pub has an Aunt Sally team in the summer season. Walkers welcome."
