"Diamond-shaped vertical millennium dial on the porch.
A charming wooden dial commemorating the millennium. The wall declines slightly east of south which perhaps explains why the gnomon slopes down to the left of the noon line, but it appears that the noon line is not vertical as it should be. The dial shows 9am to 3pm in hours. The Roman hour numerals are aligned with the hour lines.

Below the dial are inscribed the date “MM” and “AD” which might be the maker.
The short iron gnomon with a curly supporter is surface mounted, possibly a little too high to align correctly with the hour lines."
