Information extracts from plaque at depot:
Original Bertram depot was constructed on this site and served railroad passengers until the end of passenger service in 1937.
That depot was demolished in 1964 and the site sat vacant through the 1990s. The Peters family donated the vintage 1912 depot that sets here now.
The Austin Steam Train Association restored the building over a period of five years to serve passengers of the Austin & Texas Central Railroad's Flyer trains.
