This small building and hotel is located inside the 'moat'—the city centre of Chiang Mai City. A busy area for tourists and people making money from tourists.
The building itself is rather plain in appearance, but high above the entrance is the date of construction in the curvaceous Thai script. In the Buddhist calendar the year 2495 which translates to 1952 in the Gregorian calendar. The date is easily seen from the street.
