Auf dem Wiener Zentralfriedhof befindet sich in Gruppe 23 A, Reihe 3, Nr. 99 das Grab von Franz Wenzel Nowy. Auf dem Grabstein ist oben ein färbiges Porträtrelief, das von folgendem Sinnspruch umringt ist:
Wasser, Kräuter, Sonne, Sand
mancher durch sie Heilung fand.
Darunter ist ein Reliefbildnis einer Betonie zu sehen. Darauf der Spruch "Vendre Tunica et compra Betonica" („Verkaufe deinen Mantel und kaufe Betonien“).
Am unteren Ende des Grabsteins ist eine rote Ziegel-Tafel mit folgender Inschrift:

F. W. Nowy
19.4.1889 - 6.11.1945
Späteren Geschlechtern zum Gedächtnis widmete die Gemeinde Wien ihm dieses Ehrengrab
Aus vielen Inseraten in alten Zeitungen geht hervor, dass F. W. Nowy zahlreiche Vorträge gehalten und in 28 Jahren über 1.000 Kräuter-Wanderungen durchgeführt hat.

The grave of Franz Wenzel Nowy is located at the Wiener Zentralfriedhof (Vienna's Central Cemetery) in group 23 A, row 3, No. 99. On top of the tombstone is a colored portrait relief, which is surrounded by the following saying:
Water, herbs, sun, sand
quite a few people found healing by them.
Below is a relief of a purple betony. On it the saying "Vendre Tunica et compra Betonica" ("Sell your coat and buy purple betony").
At the lower end of the tombstone is a red brick panel with the following inscription:

For later generations to commemorate the community of Vienna dedicated this grave of honour to him
Many advertisements in old newspapers show that F. W. Nowy has given numerous lectures and has done more than 1,000 guided herbal walks in 28 years.
