FR Situé en plein centre du village de Peyrolles, l'édifice est construit sur un piton rocheux surplombant une placette fleurie, bien visible depuis la route des Alpes N96 qui traverse l'agglomération. Anciennement, le lit de la Durance atteignait le pied de cet éperon. Cette petite chapelle fut érigée au XIIe siècle au retour d'une croisade ; le nom de Saint-Sépulcre évoque le tombeau du Christ en Orient.

Elle porte aussi le nom de chapelle des Pénitents. Avec ses quatre côtés en forme d'absides semi-circulaires, elle offre au regard une forme particulièrement harmonieuse et équilibrée. Le clocher-arcade date du XVIIème siècle, et a été restauré récemment. Elle renferme des fresques du XIIIe ou du XIVe siècle, ainsi que des graffiti laissés par des marins. Son architecture simple et élégante lui a valu d'être classée monument historique.

EN Located in the center of the village of Peyrolles, the building is built on a rocky outcrop overlooking a flowery plot, clearly visible from the N96 Alpine road that crosses the town. Formerly, the bed of the Durance reached the foot of this spur. This small chapel was erected in the 12th century on the return of a crusade; The name of the Holy Sepulcher evokes the tomb of Christ in the East.

It also bears the name of the penitents' chapel. With its four sides in the shape of semicircular apses, it offers the look a particularly harmonious and balanced form. The belfry-arcade dates from the 17th century, and has been restored recently. It contains frescoes from the thirteenth or fourteenth century, as well as graffiti left by sailors. Its simple and elegant architecture has earned it a historic monument.
