Turmstation Goethestrasse, Meckenheim - NRW / Germany - Historic Transformer Sub-Stations Buildings on Waymarking.com

Die Turmstation an der Abzweigung "An der Evangelischen Kirche 901" / "Goethestrasse" ist nicht mehr in Betrieb.
An der Türe ist keine Plakette auf welcher bei aktiven Türmen der Name des Energieversorgers sowie der Name der Turmstation steht. Dennoch ist der Turm in sehr gutem Zustand und teilweise mit Efeu bewachsen. Solche Bewachsungen werden gerne von Spatzen (Sperlinge) genutzt, inzwischen eine gefährdete Art. Links oben an der Vorderseite ist ein Lichtsensor befestigt. Diese werden genutzt, um die Strassenbeleuchtng der Gegend je nach "Dunkelheit" an und auszuschalten.

The tower station at the junction "An der Evangelischen Kirche 901" / "Goethestrasse" is no longer in operation.
At the door is no plaque on which the name of the energy supplier nor the name of the tower station is displayed. Nevertheless, the tower is in very good condition and partly covered with ivy. Such overgrowths are often used by sparrows, an endangered species. A light sensor is attached to the top of the front. These are used to switch the street lighting of the area on and off depending on the "darkness".
