The Cold Air Cave is one of the unadvertised secrets of the Poconos. There are no posted signs, just a discreet gravel pull-off to the side of the road. There the very mountain exhales a continuous gust cooled by its passage through the Kittatinny range. A simple cave issues a steady stream of frigid air at the constant temperature of 38° F — no matter what time of year, no matter how hot or cold it is outside. In the dog days of summer you may find a couple of old geezers on their lawn chairs enjoying the chill breeze. Cache on Site
