Krásný Dvur (Beautiful Court) is not named as it is by chance. Since the end of the 18th century, the Baroque chateau has been surrounded by a unique naturally landscaped park.
This was established by Count Cernín, a keen botanist, who discovered a new trend in landscaping during his travels around Europe – the English style park. The first one in the Czech lands was created precisely here at Krásný Dvur Chateau. The open grassy areas of the park are enlivened by many romantic buildings and refined views and vistas. The idyllic park with a comfortable chateau in the middle did not only inspire J. W. Goethe, but also the Nazi bigwigs. Apart from 18 rooms in the chateau, you can also view the surrounding areas with a guide. Come and take a stroll through the English park too.
