Památník rozloucení je v poradí již druhý památník spojený s tzv. Wintonovými vlaky. Byl slavnostne odhalen dne 27. kvetna 2017 na pražském Hlavním nádraží.
Historie vzniku
Puvodní nápad na památník se zrodil nedlouho pred rokem 2017 v hlave Hugo Maroma - též jednoho z Wintonových detí. Vznik památníku rozloucení inicializovaly dve ze zachránených Wintonových detí: Zuzana Marešová a v Anglii žijící lady Milena Grenfell-Baines MBE (rozená Fleischmannová). Sbírka financních prostredku na památník rozloucení se konala od cervence 2016 do dubna 2017 a organizoval ji spolek "Farewell Memorial", založený Wintonovými detmi.
Poslání
Památník je trvalým místem pripomínajícím odvahu rodicu (tzv. Wintonových detí) poslat své deti do neznáma, ocenuje jejich lásku jakož i fatální rozhodnutí, které vetšine židovských detí umožnilo odjezd do Spojeného království a tím jim zachránilo život.
Popis památníku
Památník má podobu presné repliky drevených dverí s vnejším oplechováním z osobního vagónu III. trídy rady Ca osobního vlaku. Jedná se o identický vagón, jakým v roce 1939 vycestovalo z Prahy (díky Siru Nicholasi Wintonovi) 669 prevážne židovských detí. Návrh památníku rozloucení vypracoval Stuart Mason, autorem sklenené výzdoby je sklár Jan Hunát. Inspirací k vytvorení památníku byl jeho tvurci originální vagón použitý k transportu Wintonových detí. Tento vagón se dochoval v bratislavském muzeu. Prosklená cást dverí vagónu je tvorena sklenenou deskou, která má z jedné strany utavené "odlitky" detských rukou a z druhé strany ruce dospelých. Sklenené odlitky byly vytvoreny podle rukou Mileny Grenfell-Bainsové a Zuzany Marešové a pravnoucat jedné z nich. Památník je z bronzu, je umísten na mramorovém podstavci s dvojjazycným nápisem "PAMÁTNÍK ROZLOUCENÍ - FAREWELL MEMORIAL. a nachází se v pruchodu z odjezdové haly k nástupištím pod kupolí secesní Fantovy kavárny. Na levé strane od památníku na stene pruchodu je umístena kamenná doprovodná pametní deska s následujícím textem:
Památník rozloucení je symbolem odvahy a lásky všech rodicu, kterí v letech 1938 a 1939, bez ohledu na vlastní osud, posadili své deti do vlaku, se slzami v ocích i srdcích jim zamávali a poslali je do bezpecí, aby jim zachránili život. Vetšina rodicu zahynula behem Holokaustu.

In the main trainstation of Prague there is a Holocaust Memorial in a subway that leads to the train platforms. A plaque on the wall reads:
This Farewell Memorial is a symbol of courage and love of parents who in 1938 and 1939 regardless of what their own fate awaited them, boarded their children on trains and with heartache and tears in their eyes waved good bye, sending them away to safety to save their lives.
Most parents perished in the Holocaust.

Next to the Plaque there is a replica of a train door with the imprints of hands of children on one side and of parents on the other. The door is on a marble pedestal. The pedestal has "Farewell Memorial" (in English and Czech language) engraved in it.

A group of children saved from the Nazis by Sir Nicholas Winton, known as the “British Schindler,” unveiled a monument in Prague to their parents.
The monument, called the Farewell Memorial, is comprised of a replica of a train door from 1939, with the imprints of hands of children on one side and of parents on the other, The Associated Press reported. The memorial was dedicated at Prague’s main train station on Saturday.
Most of the children saved by Winton, who arrived in Britain on the Kindertransport and were taken in by British foster families, never saw their parents again.
Winton died in 2015 at the age of 106.
Winton, the baptized son of Jewish parents, was a 29-year-old stockbroker when he arrived in Prague in December 1938. He was planning to go on a skiing holiday in Switzerland, but changed his plans when he heard about the refugee crisis in Czechoslovakia, which had just been occupied by the Nazis. In the following nine months he organized eight trains that carried 669 children, the vast majority of them Jewish, from Czechoslovakia to safety in Britain.
Winton’s heroism was unremarked until the 1980s, when his wife found evidence of the rescues. The discovery led to a reunion with some of the children and a documentary.
Winton received many honors in his later years, including the knighthood. Last year the Czech government flew him to Prague, where Czech President Miloš Zeman awarded him the Order of the White Lion.
The Schindler reference is to the German industrialist Oskar Schindler, who is credited with saving some 1,200 Jews in the Holocaust. His story was made into an Academy Award-winning film, 'Schindler’s List.'"
