The museum even has a complete working 3 Megawatt, jet turbine driven power station, it can generate enough power for 10,000 homes. (Yes Complete & Working)

Recently the Museum has branched out into Steam Engines, in line with the Museum mission they must be fully working. Several massive Steam engines are being refurbished within the New Steam Hall. Including a steam engine out of a paddle steamer.

The emphasis of the Internal Fire Museum is diesel power, industrial engines dating from from the 1900s to the 1960s.
