Although primarily commercial in character, the District has other property types within the boundaries such as public, social, and fraternal buildings. Contained within the "Original Town Plat" of Pomeroy, the District is bounded by Tenth Street on the east, Columbia Street on the south, Sixth Street on the west, and the Main Street (U.S. Highway 12) properties on the north."
