Unfortunately, being early in the morning, the western side was not so well lit, so the best view is of the southern side of the mural. The plaque explains where the scenes are of.

The plaque on the toilet block reads:
"Toilet Block Mural
Artist Grant Franklin
who dedicated this mural to the memory of his wife Rachel
Completed July 2004
Major Sponsor by Cessnock City Council
Minor Sponsor Kurri Kurri Rotary Club Inc.
The mural on the north side shows the Crazes, a swimming hole near Richmond Main. It was popular with families, and Scout jamborees were held there in the years before Kurri Kurri had its own public swimming pool. The east wall of the mural is a store known as Murdoch's originally located in Weston. Bickmore's Store in Lang Street, Kurri Kurri, is shown on the western side while the southern wall typical transport of the early 1900's, a horse and sulky.
